I had the opportunity to fish with Capt Scott Kerslake from Just4Bass on the Big O. We were booked with another guide (Capt Mike Shellen) who unfortunately, had a medical emergency and was unable to fish with us. Mike set us up with Scott and although I was initially a little concerned, I had done enough research to feel confident the he (Mike) would not set us up with a second rate guide. The conditions leading up to our trip were not ideal. The lake was rising, the first cold front of the season had just hit and we were warned the fishing had been a little slow. Long story short, we went thru 15 dozen shiners and caught 75 fish up to 7 lbs and 1/3 of them were 4-6 lbs. So much for slow fishing! Scott was outstanding and went the extra mile to make it a once in a lifetime trip.
