This week on Lake Okeechobee has been another challenging week. The winds have been up to 25 mph this week and the water temp is in the low 60’s but we are still catching them. The water clarity on the East side of the lake is still muddy on the outside grass line but it clears up on the inside. The North end the water clarity is good and also on the West end of the lake.
The best bite is still with shiners but the artificial bite is good too with flukes and senkos on the grass flats. Good areas to fish are Grassy Island, the Pass, and the Lakeport area of the lake. Here is a picture of a couple of fish I caught this week.
