In the last couple of weeks on Lake Okeechobee, the water has leveled off and has dropped some. The water level now is at 17.02. We have had the first front of the year and it has dropped the water temp down to the 60’s in the morning. I have been getting on the water around 09:00 and fishing till 16:00 with good results on moving baits. I have been doing good on rattletraps in the morning and spinnerbaits have been doing good too. There is also a topwater bite when the water warms up some.
Good areas to fish are the Pass, Tin House, 4th point and the Lakeport area of the lake. You can check the water level of Lake Okeechobee at www.okeechobeejust4bass.com. Here is a picture of a couple of fish that I caught this week.
