The last couple of weeks here on Lake Okeechobee has been pretty good but not easy. The winds have been from the East / Southeast and the water temps is in the low 90’s. The water clarity is good throughout the lake.
The pattern is still the same a early morning bit with Spinnerbaits and Swim jigs in the Kissimmee grass, this bit is over by 07:30 if there is no cloud cover, it may last longer if there is some. After that you Flip/Pitch the rest of the day. The baits of choice is either a plastic creature bait or a Jig, color seems not to matter just get it in front of them. The targets you Flip/Pitch is every thing you see and it can be far apart from one another. Here is a picture of a couple of fish I caught this week.
