This week on Lake Okeechobee the wind has had a little north and east in it but it has only been as high as 15 mph. Water temp is still in the 90’s and the lake has dropped some more which has cleaned up some of the red water in area.
The morning bite is still pretty good on spinnerbaits and swim jigs. It is still tough after 8:00 AM but if you fish hard, you can have a good day. The bite is so lite it’s hard to tell if you have one on. I am still flipping a jig and moving from the outside to the inside of the grass. Here is a picture of one of my days from this week.
