This week on Lake Okeechobee the fishing has been great with the week of the new moon. The fish have been rolling into the flats. The winds have been from the North North/East 5-10 mph with the water temp is in the mid 70’s now. The water clarity is good throughout the lake also.
The best bite is still with wild shiners, I am catching up to 25 fish in a 4 hour charter and some good ones too up to 7 lbs. There is a good artificial bite with Spinnerbaits and Senko’s on the grass flats. Good areas to fish are The Pass, Kings Bar, Tin House and the Lakeport area of the lake.
