This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been from the North/Northeast 5- 15 mph and the water temp is in the low 70’s. The water clarity all around the lake is pretty good. This week was the new moon and the fishing is pretty good.
The best bait to use now is still Wild Shiners but there is a lot of artificial fish out there too. The best artificial bait this week was topwater and slowly moving a worm on the grass flats. Flipping and Pitching a Craw worm has been good too. Good areas to fish are Grassy Inland, Key Bar, The Pass and the Lakeport area.
