This week on Lake Okeechobee was a little rough. We experience some bad winds and rain that kept everybody off the water. On Thursday Feb 11th, the weather turned amazing and leveled out for the rest of the week with lite winds and warm water. The water clarity around the lake is good and the water temp has been from 60 – 65 degrees.
This week the best bait was shiners in the grass line. For artificial bait, Senko and Flukes on the grass flats have been working best. Good areas to fish are Kings Bar, Grassy Island, Tin House and the Lakeport area of the lake. Here is a picture of Alex and Cate Fiolka with a couple of fish they caught with me this week.
