Lake Okeechobee has been challenging this week. We have had a couple of pretty bad storms and the wind has been up to 20 mph. It has dropped the water temp into the 60’s . The water clarity on the east side of the lake is still muddy but if you go to the inside of the grass line it clears up. The North end of the lake water clarity is good along with the West side too.
This week the best bait was Wild Shiners. On the artificial side, Swim Jigs and Senko’s were good, casting them and flipping them into the holes in the grass. This next week is the week of the full moon so it will be pretty good. The best areas to fish are the Pass, Tin House, and the Lakeport area of the lake.
