This week on Lake Okeechobee the fishing has been fantastic. You can go anywhere and catch fish. The winds have been from the North/Northeast 5-10 mph most of the week and the water temp is in the low 70’s. The water clarity is good throughout the lake.
The best bait for numbers and sizes is still wild shiners but there is a good topwater bite and a good speed worm bite, the best color is Junebug. Good areas to fish are Grassy Island, Kings Bar, Tin House and the Lakeport area of the Lake. You can check the water level of Lake Okeechobee at www.okeechobeejust4bass.com.
