The last couple of weeks on Lake Okeechobee has been pretty good fishing. The Lake level is up with all the rain we have been getting and is now 13.09ft. The water temp is in the low 90’s and the water clarity is good throughout the lake. The winds have been from the South East to South West 5 to 10 mph.
The best bait is a White Swim jig in the morning in the Kissimmee grass. This bite can last up to 09:00. After that I have been flipping a White jig in the Pencil Reeds. Good areas to fish are J&S, Kings Bar, 4th Point and the Lakeport area of the lake. You can check the water level of Lake Okeechobee at www.okeechobeejust4bass.com.
