The last couple of weeks on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been light and we have had some rain so the water level of the lake has come up some. The water temp is in the high 80’s and the water clarity on the East side of the lake is muddy but there are some biting fish there. On the north end the water clarity is good and the water clarity on the West end is OK.
The last couple of weeks the best bait in the morning has been a white swim jig and a spinnerbait. You do not have to slow down just keep moving on the outside edge of the Kissimmee grass. After the morning bite is over move inside and pitch- flip the pencil reeds with a Jig.
