The last week on Lake Okeechobee the fishing has been pretty good. With all of the rain we have had the Lake is at 12.23ft. The winds have been from the South/ East 15-20 mph. The water temp is in the mid 80’s and the water clarity is good throughout the lake.
The best bait is still a Strike King Swim Jig in white for the morning bite and topwater is good too. Now that the water is up some there is more water on the Cattails and I have been flipping a 1oz jig in them. Good areas to fish are J&S, Kings Bar, 4th point and the Lakeport area of the lake.
