In October on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been moderate from the North and the East and the water clarity has been good throughout the lake. The water temp has been 80-75 degrees. This week was the full moon and some big ones moved in to spawn.
The morning bite is still the same, swim jigs in the Kissimmee grass, then you Pitch/Flip around the rest of the day. The bait I have been using is a 1oz. Black/Blue jig. You have to cover a lot of water with it. Good luck to all the Extreme team fishermen this week.
