This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been 5-10 mph from the North/North East and in the afternoons we have been having thunderstorms. The water temp is still dropping with the high being 85 degrees in the afternoons. The water clarity is good all over the lake.
This week the best bait in the morning is still the Swim Jig and the Spinnerbait. I have also have been using a Chatterbait on the outside Kissimmee Grass. You should fish pretty fast, they will let you know pretty fast if they are there or not. The Flipping bite is in the Pencil Grass with a Gambler Jigzilla (1oz.) with a Gambler Mega Daddy. Good areas to fish are J&S, Kings Bar, Harney Pond and the Shoal.
