This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been from the North/Northeast at 5-10 mph most of the week and the water temp is in the low 80’s. The water clarity around the lake is pretty good with a dark color to it with all the rain we have had the last month and the lake is now almost 15 feet.
There is still the morning Kissimmee grass bite with a swim jig and spinnerbaits. If you have some cloud cover this bite will continue throughout the day. The Pitching/ Flipping bite with a 1oz. Black/Blue jig is pretty good too with all the water we have here on the lake. The fish are still pretty spread out, you just have to cover a lot of water. Good areas to fish are J&S, Kings Bar, Tin House, and the Shoal.
