This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been from the north, if any at all, and the mornings are a little cooler. The water temp has dropped some to a high of 87 and the water level is not dropping as fast as it was.
This week I’ve been catching and have seen a lot of the bigger fish in the shallows. In the mornings there are still a lot of fish on the outside grass line. The best baits this week are swim jigs and swims baits but it’s over by 8:00am. After that I have been moving inside the grass line and looking for pencil grass and flipping a jig for the bigger fish. You can check out the Okeechobee water level at www.okeechobeejust4bass.com
